WHO IS T.L.C

About T.L.C@Home

First started in 2006 by Shelley James of The Hairstyle Inn Salons, TLC@Home started off small distributing shoeboxes of gifts to one Saskatoon community school (Princess Alexandra). Now, years later, Global Saskatoon, Cruz FM, Trusted Saskatoon, Trusted Marketing Services and many others have joined them along the way as partners in the gift program.

Many volunteers made up of clients and team members of Hairstyle Inn, the Global team, The Trusted Saskatoon and Trusted Marketing Team, and members of the public come together to fill shoeboxes. These shoeboxes are filled with holiday cheer and distributed to more than 900 students annually at schools, including Princess Alexandra Community School, St. Michael Community School, King George Community School and Pleasant Hill Community School, Howard Coad.

A Word From Shelley

” TLC@Home has been a part of my heart since 2006, and I know it has been a part of many hearts here in Saskatoon and surrounding area. HairStyle Inn Salons, the founding partner of TLC@Home, wanted to give back to the community in which we live, work and play. We gave shoe boxes crammed with socks, hats and mitts, toothbrushes and toothpaste, books and toys to just 30 children at Princess Alexandra school in 2006. This was just the beginning of touching the lives of children here in Saskatoon. ”
